Exceptional work starts with exceptional people.

Kilgannon & Partners is an innovative, values-led law firm specialising in employment law and immigration law.

We empower our people to be the best; working efficiently and supportively. Free from politics, ego and burnout.

We were built to break away from rigid, outdated law firm models offering a modern alternative grounded in flexibility, fairness, and integrity. Our close-knit firm thrives on a culture of respect and inclusion. We do meaningful, high-impact work for a wide range of clients. We’re a firm without politics, ego, burnout or unrealistic billing targets. This allows us to focus on delivering excellent service with exceptional results.

We’re remote-first by design, but intentionally social creating regular opportunities for collaboration and connection. We are creating a smart infrastructure based on modern technology, and strong leadership where our people are trusted to work in ways that fit their lives, not the other way around. We prioritise wellbeing and work-life balance, recognising that people do their best work when they’re supported both professionally and personally.

This is modern law: grounded in expertise, shaped by integrity and technology, and delivered by people who genuinely care.

Work that fits your life — not the other way around.

When I founded Kilgannon & Partners, I knew exactly what type of law firm I wanted to build and, more importantly, what type of behaviours I wanted to avoid at all cost.

Having previously worked in a Managing Partner role and spoken with several other senior professionals, I could see there were issues ahead for traditional law firms; high office and PII overheads, outdated tech, and, of course, internal conflicts and toxic behaviours.

I was confident there was scope to do things differently….and better. I wanted to create a firm where everyone works harmoniously, all staff are supported, trusted and treated as adults; where they have the agency to live their lives, and room to thrive.

I’m immensely proud of what we have achieved in our relatively short time, and this is all down to the amazing like-minded team I get to work with!

Our Values

Since founding Kilgannon & Partners in April 2019, Matthew set out to build a law firm that was different, one where people, clients, and values genuinely come first.

Our ethos of 'do the right thing' and our five values are the foundation of our culture. They shape how we work, how we make decisions, and how we treat one another every day.

But our values aren't static. Our team has been directly involved in how they’ve evolved. We have grown together, refining our values through shared experience to ensure they reflect the reality of how we work, how we make decisions, and how we build a firm rooted in trust.

We are growing and we are evolving, but we are staying exactly who we promised we’d be.
